Die Abwesenheit des Vaters stellt das Kind vor Hürden und Schwierigkeiten in seiner Entwicklung. Die Autorin beleuchtet verschiedene Auswirkungen der Abwesenheit des Vaters. Sie stellt die mehrjährige psychoanalytische Arbeit mit einem Jungen in der Latenz dar und zeigt auf, wie sich die Abwesenheit des Vaters in die Übertragungsbeziehung einschreibt und welche Auswirkungen dies auf den analytischen Prozess, das Agieren, das Erinnern und das Durcharbeiten hat.

The absence of the father is a source of obstacles and difficulties in child development. The author discusses various repercussions set off by such absence. With reference to the several-year psychoanalysis for a boy in latency, she indicates how the father’s absence inscribes itself into the transference relationship and the effects it has on the analytic process (acting-out, remembering, working through).

L’absence du père place l’enfant en face d’obstacles et de difficultés pouvant perturber son développement. L’auteure éclaire différentes conséquences de l’absence du père. Elle décrit ses années de travail psychanalytique avec un jeune garçon en phase de latence et démontre comment l’absence du père s’inscrit dans la relation de transfert et quelles conséquences cela a sur le processus analytique, la mise en acte, la remémoration et l’élaboration.
